This article focuses on the benefits of teamwork. The research objective is to explore how to motivate people working in teams. The study includes secondary research to gather data and add to existing knowledge. This article concludes with suggestions for improving team performance by improving motivation. These include objective-based team training, voluntarily formed teams, team-based leadership and communication system. The main purposes of this study are to explore the extent to which public Jordanian universities have adopted Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and to examine the current HRIS uses, benefits and barriers in these universities. A structured questionnaire was constructed based on other previous studies, it also pre-tested, modified and translated to capture data from HRIS users in Jordanian universities. The main findings of this study reveled that the quick response and access to information were the main benefits of HRIS implementation. While, the insufficient financial support; difficulty in changing the organization�s culture and lack of commitment from top managers were the main HRIS implementation barriers. The present study provides some insights into the performance and applications of HRIS in Jordanian universities that could help Human Resource Management (HRM) practitioners to get a better understanding of the current HRIS uses, benefits and problems, which in turn, will improve the effectiveness of HRIS in Jordanian universities....
The purpose of this study is to explore and identify, with the help of literature-review, the new construct of Authenticity, Authentic Leaders, and further its impact on organization performance. As, it is totally a new construct in the leadership domain. It has been introduced/developed in the recent organizational context in order to avoid the un-ethical and un-wanted practices by leaders within the organization. Observation, research, experimentation, and verification are the foundational processes giving rise to principles. Principles imply fundamental truths upon which rest knowledge, learning, and teaching. Knowledge and principles are memorialized by and disseminated through words. The denotative word meanings must be agreed upon in order that principles and knowledge can be formally written and spoken. In this way, the structure of scientific information can be built. Three significant psychological terms falling to meet these criteria are self-image, self-concept, and self-identity. Their significance comes from being foundational stones in the structure of one's self-esteem. To illustrate some of the confusion related to them, randomly selected definitions from the psychological literature are presented for the sake of comparison.
